Kotisina - botanic garden

It is located on the coastal slopes of the Biokovo Mountains above the town of Makarska at an altitude of 350 to 500 meters and is partly located in the Biokovo Nature Park.
The garden was founded by fr. Jure Radić (1920-1990), Franciscan and scientist, with the aim of scientific research and observation, protection and protection and popularization and acquaintance with the flora of Mount Biokovo.
It is not a botanical garden in the classical sense, where each plant is introduced according to certain rules, but it is conceived as a "fenced part of nature", where natural forms of vegetation with the original flora will be preserved.
On a relatively small area of 16.5 ha, there are very diverse habitats, such as rocks, gorges, cliffs, arable land and the Proslap canyon with a uniform waterfall, which is dry for most of the year and comes to life only during heavy rains.

Staying in this location is ideal for those who love nature, peace outside tourism, evening and morning walks.
